SlipStream Your Own Custom XP Vista or 7 OS (Tutorial)
Download SlipStream Your Own Custom XP Vista or 7 OS (Tutorial) at High Speed

Tutorial|PDF Plus VA Software|PC XP Vista OS|330MB|Tut Release 11 03 2009
This is a quick and easy way to learn how to create your own custom XP or Vista and even windows 7 CD the way you want it.

There’s nothing we dislike more than firing up a fresh, new installation of an operating system only to find a slew of hotfixes,
updates, and patches awaiting us through the Windows Update mechanism.
Granted, we can take some small comfort from the fact that the updating process is relatively automatic—but not so when it comes to outfitting a new OS
installation with all the requisite driver packages.

This list can be a doozy: videocard drivers, soundcard drivers, motherboard drivers, etc.
But you can reduce the time and effort it takes to get a fresh install into tip-top shape.

By creating a slipstreamed installation disc you’ll have all the patches, fixes, drivers, and options you need ready to be easily and automatically
integrated into your next OS install—be it XP or Vista and best of all it will auto install all the drivers for your peticular computer which is wonderful.
No more looking for those printer drivers and others its all included once you slipstream it into a custom copy version of XP Vista or Win 7.

This is especially relevant now, with new service packs available for both OSes (SP1 for Vista and SP3 for XP).
If your original OS disc shipped prior to the SP release, your slipstreamed disc will give you all the newly added features.
Depending on your operating system, you can make your customized installation disc using one of two handy tools, nLite for XP or vLite for Vista and 7.

This Tutorial will show you all you need to know and how to use the software needed for each type of OS.

Note:You will need an orginal copy or ahem...Bootleg copy of XP Home or Pro or Vista CD to use this tutorial you can obtain one or have one already I'm sure,
some Pre-Oem copies work aswell.
Screenshot

I know there are other methods for doing this but this is the most common and easiest one for first timers.
I put this tutorial together as easy as I could for those few members who requested it.

Software included in this tutorial:All software runs on 98/Mil/XP/Vista/should run on win 7
1:Power ISO v.4.5
2:ImageBurn v.2.5
3:SFXMaker v.1.2
4:nLite v.1.4.9.1
5:DriverGrabber v.5.0
6:AutoStreamer v.1.0.33

Now this tutorial covers what some of you may already know and is now kind of obsolete with the comming new OS windows 7.
But the main focus of this tutorial is not concerned with what we already know but to show you how to tweek and customize any futher OS
like windows 7 and so forth.

So even though this information may be out-dated as far as XP and its SPacks pre-configured into a custom XP CD install.
It will show you the methods used and how to make your own custom OS CD the way you want it to install and thats the main focus of this tutorial ok.

Remember if you fail the first time try again you have nothing to loose and if you have VMWare installed this is a perfect way to keep installing new
versions in a virtual sandboxed system this way you can keep adding or removing untill you get it just the way you want but thats up too you,
and not everyone knows how to use VMWare unfortunaly.

I may in the near future when I have more time put together a tutorial that explains how to pre-intergrate actual programs that you would like to have
self install right from your own custom XP or what ever OS system you are using this is known as creating a switchless installer which can be made using
a free simple program which I also included in this tutorial called (SFX Maker) it is almost the same as what winrars SFX creates but is used more for this
kind of purpose.

I have included all the software you will need and offline sevice packs for XP only plus several PDF combined Tutorials that will take you step by step
on how to use these programs and what you need to know before making your own custom OS install disc.
If you go to MicroSofts main download page you can download all offline Hotfix's and SPacks updated drivers etc.
It is good to have these as an exe install version opposed to there zipped versions you will understand this once you begin to read the PDF files.

IF you want to slipstream your own copy of Vista then just download VLite its free and easy to find just Google it I included the Instructions how to use it
in the PDF tutorial guide so all you need is to get the program sorry I forgot to add it in the upload.

All programs are freeware and work 100% Except for Power ISO which I added as an optional bunrning software but it comes with a full working serial.
I have included all files that you will need to make your own custom install OS disc for XP Pro Home and Vista except the actual OS CD thats up to you to have.

After reading these PDF tutorial guides and getting to know the programs that are to be used you will be able to make any custom OS CD in no time.
I hope you enjoy this tutorial and find it usefull I know it may seem abit out dated now but the main idea is to get you into understanding how to
make and tweek your own personal version of be it XP or Vista and this tutorial should also apply to windows 7 it uses the same features as Vista
so VLite should work for making your own custom version of windows 7 and being able to include the new SPacks as they come out and thats a big plus.

All information in this tutorial was checked and compiled into one simple download by me from various online sites and forums I used to visit 2 years ago
so I don't have there original urls anymore but the info is still very valid and used even in todays slipstreaming so no problems there ok.

I have used these methods and created my own custom version XP install Cd with the same programs and information provided in this tutorial so I know it works.

Remember my main idea was to make it simple for anyone who wanted to know how and what tools were required to make a Slipstreamed copy of an OS
without having to search all over the web to find out how and where to find the tools needed and to make sure they had the right tools and info.

So I hope this tutorial has acheived that main objective.

All software was Tested as always 100% clean with (AVAST AVG) (SPYBOT SPY SWEEPER) and checked for RootKit as well all came up clean

Thank you and good luck.

Your welcome elfster916

Thank you for the nice comment I gave you 1 plus point cheers

Just a reminder to anyone who is interested:

I have noticed a few members were discovering some difficulties with understanding how to upload an article to Softacrhive.net.
And for new members I just thought it would be of some help if there were a small video tutorial to show you how one uploads an article to S.A.

I am no pro myself but I will show you the basics of how to create and upload a complete post to the best of my abilities.

I would explain the whole process from start to finish and would provide some simple templates that I have already created with note pad so you could see first hand how easy it is once you watch the video then read see the original post in its coded form.

I would also answer some of the questions to why a post could be re-jected and how to make your articles work within the proper guidelines of S.A rules.

Remember that each article be it video to graphic games software or music each have there own set of rules and guide lines that must be met in-order for them to make it onto the main page.

I would also talk you through the whole process in very easy to understand steps.
This would also include how to rar your files using win-rar and what you need to add to the archive name in order to ensure it gets uploaded not only too what ever file hosting provider you use but to keep in line with the S.A name that must be suffixed to it.

So if any members or new members would like me to do a tutorial that covers this subject matter.
Please leave me a PM or leave a short simple comment here saying YES this would be helpful thank you.

If I get enough replies saying yes meaning at least (20 members) to do this tutorial then I will make one and post it on S.A as soon as I get 20 requests or more.

I hope this helps and I will reply back to those who PM me asking for help I donΠ²Π‚β„Άt mind I like helping people out its good to see others posting on S.A and I would like to help you to get to this point as easy as I can show you.

So thanks again to all the members and too the S.A team for there kind support of my efforts.

From S.A member Hackworth have a good day and if you need help just leave me a PM

Thank you Hackworth this is a great tutorial. You help make this site great. I will PM you because I could use some help to post here it's kind of confusing. Your time and trouble is very much appreciated. :)

A suggestion to SA admins would be better instructions and FAQ that covered more. Also a forum to talk to other members and admins to get to know people better and to ask questions.
